Not Buddhism

I want to research Buddhism because it has always seemed like such a peaceful religion.  The fact that it is a non-theistic religion really interests me.  From what I know about the religion already also makes me want to research it.  I would like to find out more about how the lifestyles of those who practice it differ from those of other religions.  I hope to learn from my research the ways of Buddhism and how it effects those who practice it.  I also want to know how it impacts different people, places, and cultures around the world.

  1. I share the same interest in this religion, and I would love to know how your research turns out. Maybe if the subject becomes too broad, or too similar to another classmate's work, you could narrow it down a bit and try something more specific. You could potentially focus mainly on Buddhism while comparing and contrasting it with Hinduism or Islam. Another possibility is to focus primarily on the significant people of this religion.

  2. I also chose this as my topic (he is right, he did choose it first, i just didn't know!) and i have the same thoughts. I love how peaceful and harmless the religion is, and how they seem to care more about people being happy than anything else. I hope we can read each others papers when they are done and share with each other the knowledge that we came across on our more narrowed topics.
