Yet more of the old

I'm looking forward to researching and writing about death rituals and or how we perceive death. It will be a journey that will go around the world looking at how different culture see and deal with death. It fascinates me how groups of people vary drastically when it comes to death, some see it a it is, a natural part of life; and we see it as an alien event in our life that we fear and hide from. I'm excited to see how the world views the end, and how they treat the body after death. After all, death brings mean and virtue to the lives we all hold so dear.

  1. I think it's a really interesting topic that, honestly, you could learn a lot from. I also think it's cool that you want to look at different cultures and the comparisons between not only what they do after death but how those different cultures view death, as well. I know it's kind of a while from now, but I'm actually super excited to read your paper.

  2. This is an intriguing topic. You bring up a good point- that while some accept death, others view it, like you said, as 'alien'. It really is amazing how death rituals and accompanying beliefs vary so drastically from culture to culture. I look forward to seeing this topic developed further!
